Sage Kitchen-Diner Extension with Pitched Rooflights

A rear kitchen extension finished as a single vaulted room: the ceiling follows the roof pitch, and four rooflights are set into it so the light arrives from above as well as through the garden doors. That combination is what stops a deep-plan extension turning the middle of the room into a dark zone.

The kitchen runs along the back wall with an island set forward of it and a dining table in the glazed end, so the whole thing works as one space. The sliding doors and a secondary window bring the garden into the room from two directions.
