Sliding Doors, Porcelain Patio & Level Threshold

Forming a large sliding door opening in an existing brick elevation is a structural job before it's a glazing one — the opening is propped, a lintel sized for the load above, and the reveals rebuilt before the doors arrive.

Outside, the patio is laid to a level threshold with the falls taken away from the house, and the garden reinstated around it. Doing the external works in the same programme is what stops a new door set looking like it was fitted into a building site.
