Roof Lantern, Seen from Underneath

The test of a roof lantern isn't the lantern, it's the hole it sits in. The upstand has to be square, level and built into the roof structure; the internal reveals have to be plastered sharp enough that the frame reads as a picture frame rather than a repair.

This one is finished from inside a completed extension: plastered reveals, downlights set around the opening, and a clean line where the ceiling meets the upstand.
