Windows, Doors & Roof Glazing
The upgrade that changes a room fastest
Big glazing looks simple and isn't. A 4-metre sliding door set needs an opening formed and propped, a lintel or goalpost sized for the load above it, a level threshold detail that doesn't leak, and a supplier survey taken from the built opening rather than the drawing.
We do all of it. Jenny Hills' project included exactly this — "windows and doors upgrade" — alongside the extension and the render, as one priced package.
Structural opening included
Steels, props, lintels and making-good are ours. You aren't left holding a delivery of glass with nowhere to put it because the builder and the window company disagree about who forms the opening.
Surveyed off the real opening
Glazing is ordered from a survey of what's actually been built, not from the drawing. It adds a week to the programme and removes the most common cause of a six-week delay.
Lanterns and rooflights
Roof lanterns transform a deep-plan extension — but only if the upstand, the ring beam and the flashing are detailed properly. We build the upstand as part of the roof, not as an afterthought bolted to it.
